Coup de coeur du mois!

Fraîchement sortis de l'Arsenal studio pour la sortie
de leur 3eme album Monkey Love,
les Guma Guma nous ont offert hier soir un showcase
à la Péniche Antipode le 25 mars 2010
avec Tommy Foster en première partie!
Ce fut un spectacle d'une rare et impressionante qualité!
Laissant derriere eux leurs atours hippy, les Guma Guma nous ont présenté
leur nouvel univers live brut et rugeux.
Sur une entrée aussi spectaculaire qu' inattendue "Hope and promises"
donne le ton! C'est funky mais c'est rock!
Le nouveau look de la chanteuse dans un premier temps, nous dérange,
nous met mal à l'aise mais aussitôt nous fascine.
La voix est là et prends le pouvoir!
Délivrant la totalité de leur nouvel album dans une ambiance émotionelle 
à couper au couteau.
Le set s'enchaîne sur les desormais classiques de leur repertoire
 (Sacrificius, Woman crash, Love shoot et Pacific bay).
 Mention spéciale pour "Rain over you" ballade acoustique
aux surprenantes tonalités velvetiennes,
"I call your name" délivré sur le fil du rasoir et la superbe ballade
psychédelique progressive "Human" 
le tout finissant sur un titre au rythme stonien endiablé "Monkey love"
Saluons ici la performance vocale et scènique de Barbara Lezmy,
Philippe Amirault (guitare acoustique)
au travail impéccable à la production de l'album! 
ainsi que celle d'Alain Dervieux (guitariste soliste) desormais aux choeurs.
les Guma Guma avec ce 3eme album semble être définitevement
sur la voie du succès à n'en point douter!
